Fiberon™ PA612-ESD

I had used this before and perfect. I am waiting for a replacement as there must have been a mixup with boxing as my 3kg roll showed up as a roll of wet 1kg nylon or something that didn’t work. Other than that this is the real deal from my previous experience . Please get with me on my replacement!:)

I was looking for a new filament to try printing new Voron parts with and found this. It has enough CF in it to prevent warping and prints easily without clogs using a 0.4mm nozzle. I'm happy with it but be warned the filament is VERY brittle. It's among the most brittle of filaments I've handled, which I wasn't expecting with the lower CF percentage.

amazing product! it is strong and looks so good! i had no problems printing this on my X1 Carbon printer, and i found you can even sand it with 300 grit sandpaper to remove any textures to make it smooth and then just put a few drops of a oil on a rag and rub the surface of the part and then it is brought right back to life and perfectly smooth! i loved this filament!

I've been looking for a filament that has great layer adhesion aka Z-axis strength. This seems to be it.
I'm used to printing with Bambulab PETG-CF and Bambulab PLA Matte, and I was blown away by how much tougher Fiberon PET-GF15 is. I don't have the equipment to give you numbers but I printed a cylinder snap test and some cylinders of BL PLA, BL PETG-CF, and finally Fiberon PET-GF15, and PET-GF15 won by a mile. It bent more before snapping and required much more force to snap. Test was conducted by holding 2 hollow handles with the test cylinder material in between the handles. That puts stress in the Z-axis direction.

And I would have been okay if it required a little drying. However, according to Polymaker, PET-GF15 does not require drying / isn't sensitive to moisture (probably because it does not use glycol?) which makes this an even more awesome material. Compared to Bambulab's filaments this is a clear winner on all metrics. Price went up slightly since they sold out, but if they can keep it sub $30, it's a clear winner for functional parts.

Visually, the dark gray filament looks fantastic. The rough texture hides layer lines very effectively and the gray makes it interesting without being entirely black.

I printed on a Bambulab P1S with an AMS and it both fits and works great in the AMS. I didn't notice any unpleasant odors. It should be noted that I printed at the maximum nozzle temp I can (300c) and printed quite slowly to get good layer adhesion. However, I did a fair comparison and also did a slow and hot print for BL PLA and PETG-CF and the results hold.

Printed extremely well in my Qidi Plus 4. It resulted in probably the best surface finish I have had so far. This will be my "go to" filament for most semi-structural parts. PA612-CF is my go-to for parts needing more strength, with great surface finish.
